Pastor Michael Cooke

My name is Michael Scott Cooke and I am the Pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church. I am a native of Spartanburg, SC, and my wife Jamie and I have lived here for the majority of our lives except for the 8 1/2 years we spent in Louisiana going to Seminary at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and doing ministry in the surrounding areas. God used that time in Louisiana to greatly impact and shape our lives, and we will be forever grateful to our brothers and sisters we met at NOBTS, Williams Blvd. Baptist Church, and Enon Baptist Church for there part in that process. Your love, support, and continued prayers mean the world to us.

We moved back to Spartanburg, SC in January of 2013 and started an evangelistic ministry called Spiritual Revolution Ministries. During this time I was able to serve in several of the local churches around the Upstate area as an Interim Pastor. Cornerstone Baptist Church was the last church I served as an interim Pastor, and in January of 2016 they called me to be their Pastor. Our family has fallen in love with the people at Cornerstone, and we look forward to serving the Lord with this fellowship of believers for as long He allows.

Our goal at Cornerstone Baptist Church is to do our best, both corporately and individually, to do the work of the Great Commission. Jesus Christ has called us to make disciples and that is exactly who we are, and what we are about. Please come and be part of the amazing work that the Lord is doing through Cornerstone Baptist Church.
